Michael Fitzgerald

Managing Director/Investments

Mike began his investment industry career in 1985 and joined Stifel in 2023.  Prior to joining Stifel, he worked at Merrill Lynch, J.C. Bradford, and Wells Fargo Advisors and predecessor firms for nearly 25 years.  Mike provides planning guidance for his clients and follows a process to determine and develop tailored plans to help clients pursue their financial goals.

Mike earned a B.B.A. in Marketing from University of Georgia (UGA) Terry School of Business and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).  Prior to completing his education at UGA, he attended The Citadel for two years. 

Mike enjoys playing golf, hunting, scuba diving (Padi/SSI, Master Diver, Certified Rescue Diver), spearfishing, and cooking in his spare time.  He is also a member of Athens City Club & Gridiron. Mike has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for more than 35 years and has two children, Michael and Demi.  Michael graduated from UGA Terry Business School in Risk Management and is currently employed by McEver & Tribble in Atlanta.  Demi also graduated from UGA Terry Business School and works in New York City.  The Fitzgeralds are members of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Athens Country Club, and Sea Island.

Active in the community, Mike is a past board member and president of the Athens Child Abuse Council.  He served on a rector search committee at Emmanuel Episcopal Church and chaired the Emmanuel Parish endowment board for 10 years.  He is a former board member and president for the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame.

Roy Roberts

First Vice President/Investments

Roy began his investment industry career in 1997 and joined Stifel in 2023.  Prior to joining Stifel, he worked at Paine Webber, where he developed the basis of his investment knowledge, Merrill Lynch, and Wells Fargo Advisors.  Roy is dedicated to helping his clients build, manage, mitigate risk to, and transition their wealth to the next generation.  He follows a disciplined process that begins with listening to his clients so he can learn more about their needs and goals.  He applies the highest possible levels of care, skill, and caution to his client relationships. 

Roy earned a B.A. from University of Georgia and holds Series 7, 31, 63, and 65 securities licenses.  He earned the Certified Financial Planner™ certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., which identifies those individuals who have met the experience requirements of the CFP® Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination. 

Roy spends his free time on the family farm in Monroe, Georgia, with his teenage children, daughter, Mary Elise, and son, Roy III.  He enjoys following the kids to their athletic competitions and staying active both physically and mentally by playing basketball, golf, tennis, swimming, hunting, and fishing, especially with his children.  

Roy is active in the community and serves on several boards, including The Boys and Girls Club, the NE Georgia Regional Commission, and previously the Boy Scouts.  He still remains very active in the UGA community.  He also graduated from George Walton Academy, where he serves on the board of trustees.

LuAnne Stone

Client Service Associate

LuAnne joined Stifel in 2023, playing a support role to the financial advisors, facilitating daily operations, functions, and fulfills the group’s administrative and organizational needs.  She began a 10-year career in banking with Decatur Federal Savings & Loan, National Bank of Walton County (Synovus), and Main Street Bank in Covington.  LuAnne’s banking responsibilities included originating construction and mortgage loans, branch management, and assistant to the executive vice president.   Following banking, she ran her own business for nearly 20 years, managing commercial/residential real estate and developing subdivisions.

LuAnne grew up in Monroe/Walton County and attended George Walton Academy.  She earned a B.S. from Georgia State University.  She resides in Oconee County and has three children, Alex, an Assistant D.A. in Newton County, Hollis, who attends University of North Georgia, and Perry Jake, a student at George Walton Academy.  LuAnne served on the board of the Walton County Boys and Girls Club and the Monroe Junior Service League.
